Santa Maria Delle Carceri, Basilica church

Santa Maria Delle Carceri is a Basilica church which was built in Renaissance period, located in Prato, Tuscany, Italy. It is unique because of it was designed by Giuliano da Sangallo, the architect of the church, by using greek cross plan in this building that achieved the masterpiece of symmetry. The materials used are marbles as exterior and terracotta as interior, and these materials fully brought out the spirit of Renaissance architecture.
