At the very first of the beginning of architecture life, I should learn about the structure of spaces. In this condition, sketching is the most suitable way to improve the following technique. Sketching is a techinique to represent form and space in free-hand drawn diagrams with pencil as a common medium. This is also the simplest way to show the form and space.

In the following assignment, I was required to go to site(around Taylor's University lakeside campus) to sketch a certain scene, or I was also required to go to other places (outside Taylor's University lakeside campus) for sketching, to determine the structure of spaces.

As stated in the module outline, I was required to draw at least 15 sketches and 4 sketches that were drawn within the campus, which also meant these 4 sketches must be the scene of campus environments.

On-site Sketching

Sketches above are majorly completed with either pen or pencil drawing. Hatching is also used as the technique of sketching to represent the form of objects and also the depth of space. In the above sketches, I was mostly using normal hatching with several lines to represent shadow of objects. In the special case, I practised to use the technique of hatching and I tried to hatch it in polygons rather than lines( For which sketch is it, there is stated in the defination of the following sketch).

Almost done...

Just a pratice...

Sketches above are majorly incompleted. They are just some simple sketches or the practices of drawing form and space. Some of the sketches are used to create a sketch without outline but just hatch it with lines directly, some of them are used to practise the hatcing technique and the way to hatch with the depth of spaces, and some of them are used to investigate the different types of pattern for hatching( For which sketch is it, there is stated in the defination of the following sketch).

Final Submission A2 Board with 4 sketches attached

For the final submission, I need to attach 4 sketches which are drawn within the campus. These sketches are completed with hatching after several practices in the 15 sketches, and be choosen from these 19 sketches out of the best. All sketches in the final submission are sketched with hatching in lines to form shadow and depth of spaces, fully represents the structure of spaces.
