Architecture Design Studio V
The teaching objectives of this module are:
1. To introduce aspects of the city and urbanity in relation to architectural design
2. To develop an awareness and application of legislative requirements and socio-behavioural patterns of urban environments and communities in architectural design
3. To explore key stages involved in architectural design development

PROJECT 1
Famous People, Familiar Faces
Objective:
To investigate how spaces are structured and created from the making of architectural elements: architectonics. We should be able to achieve a level of understanding on the works assigned upon the completion of the project and will be able to apply the idea and concept to the next project. The idea of using pure and diagrammatic drawing to express the architectural idea would also be in cooperated into this assignment.
For this project, we cooperate in a group of 5-6, investigate an architect's famous building and analyse the architectural elements and principles that were used by the architect. Our study building is Magney House, by architect Glenn Murcutt, a British-born Australian architect.
Final Submission:
1. 8 A3 size presentation boards
2. 12 final conceptual models
3. Mock-up models
4. Sketches & progress

From this project, I had learnt the design element and principle in architecture term through the structure and style analysis. I also achieved the ability to identify master architects and their works and understanding basic architectural compositions of solids, planes, lines and frames. I am also able to ‘diagram’, 'structure' and analyse architectural work of selected architect from the analysis of the building and created several of conceptual models. It is an evidence that emphasize the knowledge outcome from this project through our works.
